SSA Attends Made in Grimsby

The CEO was invited by the Seafood Grimsby and Humber Alliance (SGHA) to attend the Made in Grimsby event in October. This allowed us to share good practice and proved to be an excellent fact-finding exercise.

They encounter many of the same issues as the SSA especially around recruitment and retention of labour and succession planning. They are currently working with University of Lincoln on DEFRA funded projects to develop pilot programmes for Future Leaders. The University has visited the north east of Scotland and is currently working with Youngs.

SGHA have also embarked on a ‘decarbonisation’ project with Seafish.

Seafish have launched their ’carbon calculator tool’ and the CEO attended an event in London to showcase this last week More details will be circulated to members in due course.
